At Play Outdoors, we’re all about getting kids outside to go absolutely crazy-bonkers-nuts (or whatever they need to do to get that pent-up energy out into the open air). We also want kids to be as safe and protected as possible, and Smith Optics is right there with us.
Based in Sun Valley, Idaho, Smith Optics has been creating protective eyewear (aka goggles) since 1965, so they’ve had over 40 years to get it right. Founder Dr. Bob Smith (an orthodontist by trade) was known to trade
his early models for lift tickets—just the pioneering spirit we love. Not satisfied to protect just our eyes, Smith Optics expanded into the brain bucket market as well with supercool, multitasking helmets that protect your little shredder’s noggin from winter slopes to summer skate parks, and Smith’s fully adjustable helmet fit system means it fits heads of all shapes and sizes.
