Kids Outdoor Gear
Your little adrenaline junkie’s jonesin’ to get outside and you just want him to be safe while having fun. Outfitting your kid for outdoor adventure can be a challenge, but doing it right can mean the difference between having a total blast or swearing in frustration they’re never doing that again.
Sure, it’s not like the right helmet will magically have your budding cyclist riding like Lance, or he’s gonna glide through the water like Michael if only he was sporting the perfect goggles, but top quality, good fitting gear means comfort, safety, and loads of fun. There’s a lot to think about: kids helmets should fit snugly without flopping from side to side or front and back. Beginning bikers need to be able to sit on the seat flat-footed with their knees slightly bent to feel stable. Water sports gear should provide comfortable safety, still allowing little ones to move freely and have fun; a life jacket that will actually save your child’s life absolutely must fit snugly in order to stay put and needs to be appropriate for their age, swimming ability level, and activity they’re participating in (inflatable arm bands are fine for splashing by the lakeshore, but not for cruising out to the middle for some fishing with Daddy.)
